2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Mt Enterprise, Texas is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to help shape the day-to-day operations and the long-term health of the course. You’re not afraid to get dirty, think critically, and bring a sense of ownership to everything you do. If you’re driven to learn, grow, and be part of something bigger, we want to hear from you. Help guide our team through the daily rhythm of course maintenance—mowing, rolling, course setup, hand watering, bunker work, tree care, and all the other details that make a golf course truly shine. Applying fertilizers and chemicals with precision (and the proper certifications, of course). Maintaining and repairing the irrigation system—this includes sprinkler and valve repairs, pipe work, adjustments, electrical troubleshooting, pump station upkeep, recordkeeping, and operating the Toro Lynx system. Support agronomic planning, drainage projects, and solving problems that go beyond the typical manual.
Requirements:
Two to four year degree or certificate in turfgrass management or related field.
Minimum of one year experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping.
Eligibility for a Texas pesticide applicator’s license.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Demonstrated ability to operate golf course equipment.
Quality verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights and weekends.
Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
Compensation:
$55,000 – $65,000 per year.
