General Summary:
The Warehouse Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the warehouse and surrounding areas. This position supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring all facilities meet cleanliness and safety standards.
Clean and maintain warehouse areas , including floors, aisles, loading docks, offices, and restrooms.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors using manual and powered cleaning equipment.
Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and other waste materials in designated containers.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas on a routine schedule.
Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning products.
Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums safely and efficiently.
Inspect and report maintenance issues (e.g., spills, leaks, equipment malfunctions, damaged areas) to management.
Assist with light maintenance tasks , such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs as directed.
Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support warehouse operations by keeping walkways, exits, and equipment areas free of debris or obstructions.
Participate in safety meetings and training as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow safety procedures.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and proper use.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor, lift up to 50 lbs, and work on feet for extended periods.
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
