Director of Emergency Services - Emergency Department Leadership

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Emergency Services to lead our Emergency Department (ED) operations. This key leadership position will drive clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and outstanding patient care while managing a high-performing team of healthcare professionals.

Position Overview

As Director of Emergency Services, you will oversee all aspects of ED operations, ensuring exceptional patient care delivery while driving strategic growth and maintaining regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Emergency Department functions
• Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
• Lead performance improvement programs and monitor key performance indicators
• Drive patient experience excellence and staff engagement initiatives
• Manage department resources, budgets, and staffing optimization
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
• Foster collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Mentor and develop staff, promoting professional growth and succession planning
• Implement innovative solutions for emergency care delivery and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in practice state
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• 3-5 years recent acute care ED leadership experience (Director or Manager level)
• Current certifications in ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and BLS
• Strong clinical and operational leadership capabilities
• Excellence in team building and staff development

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration
• Emergency Nursing Certification (CEN)
• Lean/Six Sigma certification
• Experience with emergency department redesign initiatives
