**Job Overview:** The Grounds Laborer will perform work in accordance with the PWS requirements of the Branch, i.e., mowing, raking, weed abatement, tree trimming, weed eating, planting of shrubs, trees (up to 6 feet), grass, fertilizing, street maintenance and policing of areas listed in the PWS. **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Perform a wide variety of labor tasks involved in the maintenance of facilities, street maintenance equipment and grounds at the Fort Irwin National Training Center. + Labor tasks provided to assist trades people in the repair and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds at the Fort Irwin National Training Center and occasionally the Barstow Dagget Airfield. + Participation in all APTIM/HDSS EHS and Quality procedures. + Must be able to act professionally in the presence of the public and co-workers. + Must be able to accurately track time, work orders, and parts using electronic devices. **Basic Qualifications:** + Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. + Experience: Working knowledge of landscaping equipment. + Licenses: Must possess a valid California driver's license. **Working Conditions:** Position: Extensive periods outdoors. Frequent exposure to dust, desert pollen, extreme heat and cold associated with desert environment and natural conditions existing on Fort Irwin. CBAs for union projects typically include a retirement plan (such as a pension, annuity, or 401(k)), health insurance (e.g., medical, dental, vision), and other benefits. APTIM pays the costs for some fringe benefit plans for employees working on union projects.
