  Job Summary:

Perform all laundry activities of resident linen and clothing as well as community linen within established guidelines. Follow policies and procedures to ensure all laundry services meet the personal needs and comfort of the residents and quality standards for the community.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Sort, wash, dry, and fold resident clothing, linen and community linen.
2. Transport clean laundry/linen to designated areas and or residents.
3. Hand iron items as needed.
4. Clean laundry areas as needed.
5. Assist with fire drills.
6. Assist with the training of new employees.

Requirements :

1. Read and follow schedules, instructions, and labels.
2. Answer phones and write/leave messages.
3. Perform the physical requirements of the position which include standing and lifting.
4. Work well with others; treat residents, co-workers, and staff with care and respect.
5. Protect resident confidentiality by not sharing information.
6. Adhere to all Wesbury personnel policies as they apply to the workplace.
