Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to assist the VP of Operations in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure efficient fleet management, and contribute to strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities of an Operations Manager:

• Assist the VP of Operations in managing and coordinating transportation activities
• Oversee fleet operations, including maintenance, scheduling, and dispatch
• Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations
• Analyze operational performance and develop strategies for improvement
• Manage and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively
• Will coordinate with our shop to prioritize in house repairs daily and coordinate outside shop repairs
• Performing daily key audits, accounting for all vehicles on the lot daily
• Manage vehicle onboarding and removal process
• Work with driver services and safety to ensure driver, vehicle, and D&A files are compliant with all contracts and regulations

Qualifications of an Operations Manager:

• Proven experience in transportation management or similar role
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in transportation management software and tools
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
