Visiting Ancillary Services was founded in April 2010, and we provide full-service programs to over 120+ facilities. We deliver the finest outreach programs to residents, and we believe each resident should leave us with a smile and a happy demeanor.

• We treat people, not patients – Putting the clinical lens in focus with the highest level of compassionate care.
• Our personalized staff engages with residents and their families, creating the ultimate home atmosphere. 
• Our clinicians are skilled at calming and charming residents, especially those with cognitive decline or dementia.

Responsibilities will include:

• Interviews patients when possible or POA.
• Performs eye exams and vision tests.
• Prescribes and fits eyeglasses, contact lenses, eye drops, and/or other allowed medications.
• Detects diseases, injuries, and disorders related to the eyes.
• Counsels patients, patients’ families, and nursing home facility staff members on results of testing and recommendations for treatment.
• Refers to primary care providers and/or other medical professionals as necessary.
• Tracks facilities visited, vision aid fittings, new patients tested, vision aids recommended, and follow-up appointments.

Requirements:

• Valid Colorado Optometry license.
• Three years experience in the optometry field.
• Knowledge of RevolutionEHR or similar optometry practice management software preferred.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office.
