In addition to your base compensation, this position also offers: * $7,500 sign-on bonus w/24-month commitment* Shift Differentials: $2.60 nights, $2.00 weekends, $1.10 afternoons, $1.00 Specialty Certs, double-time incentive shifts, plus flexible shifts/self-scheduling * Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, plus flexible spending, and health savings accounts * Competitive paid time off and extended illness bank package for full-time employees * Income-protection programs, such as life, accident, critical-injury insurance, short- and long-term disability, and identity theft coverage * Tuition reimbursement and 401(k) matching * Employee assistance program including mental, physical, and financial wellness assistance* Professional development and growth opportunitiesQualifications:Minimum qualifications and requirementsApplicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).Additional requirements include:* Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year) * Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 1 year) Essential Functions * Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.* Documents patient care given. * Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. * Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. * Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. * Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. * Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Department/Unit SummaryWe have 12 OR procedure rooms. There are 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts depending on unit and need. Nurses use a self-scheduling process with a call rotation for weekdays and weekends. Weekend call is about 1 weekend every 6 weeks. Weekend and holiday rotations are mapped out by year.
