Job Summary (List Format): Sr. Litigation Associate Attorney Hybrid/Remote | Southfield, MI


- Minimum 5 years of progressively complex litigation defense experience required.
- Responsible for handling complex liability cases involving personal and property damage, typically high-exposure matters.
- Must possess strong legal acumen, advanced problem-solving abilities, and strategic thinking skills.
- Expected to communicate comfortably with in-house counsel and adapt to rapidly changing litigation landscapes.
- Role involves deposing expert witnesses, participating in mediations/facilitations, and representing clients at trial.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys in both state and federal courts.
- Key responsibilities include legal research and analysis, drafting appellate briefs/motions, preparing for and presenting oral arguments, and contributing to case strategy.
- Opportunities for business development and ongoing professional/legal training.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and Michigan bar admission (or eligibility) required.
- Must demonstrate exceptional research, analytical, writing, oral advocacy, and public speaking skills.
- Preferred candidates have experience in defense litigation and the ability to distill complex legal issues into concise arguments.
- Compensation starts at $120,000+ (commensurate with experience) plus annual bonus, 401(k), full benefits, parental leave, generous PTO, and professional development support.
- Application requires resume, two litigation writing samples (one appellate brief preferred), three professional references, and brief cover letter detailing significant cases/motions and trial results.
