Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting principles and a keen eye for detail. The role offers an opportunity to work across various financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities: - Process and review accounts receivable invoices using, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable operations, including reconciliations and addressing outstanding payments. - Accurately enter and review accounts payable transactions to meet deadlines. - Handle employee expense reports ensuring compliance with company policies. - Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis to maintain financial accuracy. - Code and input vendor invoices into the database, maintaining consistency and precision. - Support monthly financial reporting and assist with period-end closing tasks. - Organize and maintain both digital and physical accounting records for easy access and compliance. - Perform general data entry and update accounting systems to reflect accurate information. - Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements - Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams. - Experience with ERP systems - Ability to prioritize tasks, remain organized, and handle multiple deadlines. - Strong attention to detail and dependability in completing tasks. - Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred. - Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a customer-focused approach.
