Job Description

Our client is seeking a Product and Packaging Designer to join their team on a temporary basis in their New York office!

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop innovative product packaging and related artwork within the health and beauty category.
• Edit, organize, and maintain artwork files for both current and new product lines.
• Partner with factories overseas to manage artwork revisions, product approvals, and ensure design accuracy through production.
• Support the sales and merchandising teams by creating trend boards, visual sales tools, and presentation materials.
• Participate in customer meetings, providing design insights and product visualization support.
• Assist with photography, retouching, and mechanical CAD drawings for product and packaging layouts.
• Maintain organized records of design files, materials, and samples across server and print systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in packaging or graphic design , preferably within the beauty or gift industry .
• Experience with licensed products is highly desirable.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel .
• Strong mechanical drawing and CAD skills.
• Excellent photography and photo retouching capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with overseas vendors and manage sample approval processes.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
